A rare opportunity to revisit one of the biggest, most complicated projects our workshop ever created
Designed by Fosters & Partners for the UK headquarters of HSBC in Canary Wharf, this incredible 15m x 3.5m elliptical boardroom table took us over 1000 hours to construct. The table was expertly crafted using pomelle and curl mahogany veneers in a book-matched layout. It has an ebony inlay and bull-nosed edge, with discreetly integrated microphones, speakers, and connectivity.

The table is supported by a sculptural pomelle base, which houses and conceals all the table's cable management. We also created two smaller tables for private meeting rooms that mirrored the design of the boardroom piece.
We were delighted to discover recent photographs by Jonathan Banks of the boardroom. Looking out onto the Thames, the table is just as pristine as the day we installed it almost 20 years ago.
